Barney Moves to Laughlin
Barney, a spunky little Schnauzer, has found a new home in Laughlin, Nevada! Barney relocated to Laughlin this past week, leaving the cold weather of Red River, New Mexico behind for the winter. What a steal of a deal Barney negotiated on his new digs. Over 1500 sq ft of new floors to roam as Barney discovers some of the best kept "secrets" of Laughlin. Barney did his homework before setting out to find his new home. Barney wanted a great home, in a great neighborhood, at a great price. He would consider a foreclosure as long as the cost and the repairs would not cost him a fortune in time and money. Barney doesn't have any thumbs, so swinging a hammer was not something Barney wanted to delve into. As we viewed the foreclosures, Barney thought they needed a little more work than he was willing to do..after all...renovation work might cut into his afternoon nap. He needed RV Parking to accommodate his "wheels" for his weekend getaways. He had to have upscale landscaping because landscaping is very important to dogs..as a dog, you just HAVE to have some great scents to smell. Barney needed a 2 car garage. Barney wanted great neighbors.
So we looked at several different properties and finally, we found Barney's dream home. It had everything his heart desired. In a moment, Barney and I were headed back to the office to write his purchase offer on this perfect property. It was not a foreclosed property. It was a beautiful home which was a well cared for, and gently used second home. Barney planned his strategy, he only had so many dollars to spend and he wanted to pay cash. So we strategized, we tossed numbers back and forth and finally settled on an offering price which was comparable to the foreclosed prices in his new neighborhood. Then we sat (Barney is a world-class sitter) and waited for the Seller to respond. Barney was wringing his paws with anticipation..he just had to have this home! Finally the phone rang and VOILA!!! The Seller accepted Barney's offer and all of the terms and conditions Barney asked for..no counter offer...no haggling...Barney had a deal!!! Oh the barking that ensued!!
So, Barney has asked me to ask you, what are you waiting for? Do you know what Laughlin has to offer? Great nightlife, great winters, great people, great dogs and cat and rabbits and lizards and hummingbirds, a myriad of tax exemptions, the Colorado River, blue skies and the best scents in our clear desert air.
Come see me and tell me "Barney sent you".
